The Vintage Makenge Basket is made from from Zambia and is crafted by the Mbunda people. They are made from various parts of large bushes that grow in the region and are coloured by natural dyes. Makenge Baskets are handed down through the family and sometimes bear the markings of being cinged by fire - now that's the kind of item we adore! Beautiful and practical and there's a story behind every one - timeless in every way.
