Marble is forged under immense pressure, heat and other forces of biblical proportions. Having first existed as the bed of a river or dripping water in a cave, you have to marvel at the works of this beautiful Earth we live on.

We’ve visited Ranakpur, when in India to connect with our bone inlay suppliers, and have to say that to be in this space is truly a special experience. It’s truly magnificent with golden marigolds draped across the marble pillars and pedestals. It speaks of stability and safety, comfort and repose. It is also hygienic – being easy to clean making it ideal for kitchens and bathrooms.

Energetically speaking, marble supports the skeleton and blood, healing from illness and viruses and promotes insight, clarity, confidence and empowerment. It’s grounding too. If you think about it for a moment, you can understand how it came to be known for these qualities. In Feng Shui marble is an Earth element bringing nourishment, stability and healing. The colour also determines the effect of marble in your home which means you can use it to aid any corner.

In terms of interior styling, marble objects bring all these qualities to bear. So it makes the ideal finishing touch to any room.
